How to Customize a Harley Davidson Truck

A few simple add-ons can really make your Harley-Davidson truck emulate the look of the bike.

Ford created a special edition of the brand's venerable F-150 pickup truck in conjunction with the iconic American motorcycle maker, Harley Davidson. This pickup comes equipped with factory 22-inch rims and standard leather interior with embroidered Harley-Davidson logos. The truck combines two American icons in a luxurious package. While the Ford F-150 Harley Davidson truck is a well-appointed vehicle in stock form and does have a custom look to it, you can add more adornments to further evoke the styling cues of Harley Davidson's cruising motorcycles.

     Replace the Ford F-150 Harley Davidson's rear dual exhaust tips with dual stack exhaust similar to a semi-truck or side exhaust similar to the Dodge Viper. These exhaust pipes will add more chrome to your vehicle and elicit the styling of the iconic road-cruising motorcycles created by Harley Davidson.

     Install a glass pack exhaust system in your new exhaust pipes. These fiberglass-filled mufflers will accentuate the deep, grunt of your Ford F-150 Harley Davidson's large V-8 engine and help it emulate the distinctive rumble of classic Harley Davidson motorcycles such as the Sportster.

     Add chrome tubular sidesteps, brush guard and tail light covers to your Ford F-150 Harley Davidson truck. The tubular, chrome look of these items will emulate the look of decked-out Harley Davidson motorcycles using the same styling cues.

     Replace your matching gas tank door with a chrome unit. This chrome gas door cover is in line with the rugged look you have established with aftermarket-exposed exhaust and chrome sidestep and guard accents.

     Paint the bed of your Ford F-150 Harley Davidson truck with a Harley Davidson orange protective lining. As these trucks go for the same price as some German exotic sports cars, you will want to protect its bed in the event that you do use it. Painting it orange will not clash with the body paint of your truck as Ford only sells these trucks in neutral colors, and in fact the bed will now match the orange pinstripe and interior adornments of the truck.

     Add Harley Davidson branded interior adornments to your truck to accentuate the factory-appointed branding. The Ford F-150 Harley Davidson comes with standard factory Harley Davidson branded door sills and seat covers. Adding Harley Davidson floor mats and steering wheel cover can add to the motorcycle-themed interior scheme.
